THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT HAPPENS. Played one game to humor the guy I was seeing, and WHOOPED HIS ASS with his own deck, so he gave it to me. As I played more, I realized it genuinely was a terrible card list, so I started changing it slowly. Then I stopped seeing him, but through the game I met my now husband, and he started buying me cards like crazy, helping me make changes. Cut to now and I finally built my own list completely from scratch, I’ve got 4 decks of my own, and mtg is my main hobby. I’m drowning in cards. I have a collection big and expensive enough to put a downpayment on a car with. It’s been a wild ride
