First of all, I cannot believe that there are people dnf’ing rites of the starling. It gave me every single feel. As for your next read, I recommend Into The Blue by Emma Brodie. I listened to the audio book and those headphones were glued to my ears.

Rites of the starling was such a let down. She did not do any of her characters Justice. Casspia’s journey absolutely deserved at least three books. I get that the storyline brings things together, but there was no depth to her story. Which is really frustrating because I wish the author would’ve taken the time to really make us fall for her character. But because she only has half a book, the storyline just falls flat. I’m a person that always cries during the sad part of the books… I didn’t cry at all.
