I literally just left a meeting with my 12 year old daughter’s principal because yesterday a boy in her class was talking about her 🍑 and how he wanted to 🍇 her! The principal and teacher were informed and NO ONE CALLED ME! I now have the school police liaison involved. I’m shaking with RAGE.

High school teacher here... definitely do not drop it. Public shaming a student is never okay. Ignoring a bullying and sexual harassment claim is never okay.

I tried dming you privately, i experienced a very similar situation when I was much younger and the adults handled it almost the same exact way. you’re not alone, and advocating for your daughter is 10000% always the right thing!

Zero tolerance policies have been around since I was in school-I graduated in 2005. Yet I don’t think the policy is used in most cases.

I work as a school secretary. In Canada. On behalf of schools everywhere, I am so very sorry this happened to your child, and so very sorry you did not get a swift and appropriate response from the administration at your daughter’s school. It’s things like this that make me sad and so disappointed in people. Keep going, girl. I am not sure where you are, of course, but in my province, the PAC has more clout than anyone realizes. A good, strong PAC may be helpful to you, they can change policies, and are great at holding administration accountable. Very good luck to you and your family. ❤️
