What Ichigo means when he says he will fight by himself is that he finally stopped recognizing zangetsu as a separate being and recognizing him as a part of himself as you can only get help from a separate being or thing if you use your own strength you don’t get help henceforth why he didn’t need his “help” because zangetsu isn’t a separate being anymore he is part of himself also clearing up what white said in the ss ark when he said the power will eventually be mine what he means is that he will be Ichigo himself after Ichigo truly accepts him
