Kindly address this, am a third year student at Kenyatta University and there's this thing I've noticed with this New Funding Model that has really affected many students. The school policy has been that you must clear your school fees before you can be allowed to register your units. We joined in 2023, the first cohort of the NFM, there were delays with the gvt scholarship and the institution allowed us to register units for the semesters we've been in session. Right now you get to your portal and you realise that you have a registration hold due to fee arrears, when you go to the finance office you are being told that you need to clear all the fee balance for all the semesters that you have been in session. You realise that students have huge fee balances, some even upto over 200k. How can this be corrected?

wangu ilingia 2024 at jkut na second year akakatazwa kuregister units juu ya pesa ya helb na scholarship amount stated 150000 so Ali dropout na hio ikaisha hivyo so serikari ilifanya vibaya kwa kuweka wanafunzi kwa bands wangu aliwekwa band 4 so fees ilikuwa 43 thou per semester ni ngumu sana

kwa ground things are different like me the Portal for my son shows 143k....ATI government has not paid it's share for the last two semesters ....it's a bad model that categorizes in bands it's not fare to many
