That wasn’t thermo-plastic. That was paint. Thermo-plastic has a truck with kettles on the rear that melts the plastic before very skilled operatives (without a stencil!) put down road markings (usually a 2-3 man team btw. £1500 for crew, vehicle, insurances, materials etc seems fair

It's the same on any type of government contract... I managed compliance within the MOD and I found out one day that to change/replace a door handle (both sides) on an interior door would cost approx between £800 and £900... It's because it goes through so many departments.
