Credentials demonstrate qualification, but they don’t automatically earn respect. An MD, NP, or DNAP indicates you’ve met a certain standard; however, it’s how you think, how you treat others, and how you perform that truly earns my respect. Authority may be granted on paper, but respect is never just handed out. I know many might disagree, but this is how I see it, and I've seen people who thought differently get a reality check.
