1) you did mention in your comments that her husband was going out of town. 2) you told her you couldn’t attend due to the wedding but she still talked you into it by saying “oh it’s early”. 3) if she wanted you in a dress she should have given you a real invitation instead of just telling you about it/asking if you’d come.
