Sorry but I have to say this once and for all. No blue does not cancel out yellow. Purple cancels or yellow and blue cancels out orange. The problem here is the gold is very muted and cold toned, it barley looks like it has yellow pigment in it, if you then ad a layer of blue it will turn out like that. The ratio of blue to “yellow” is to far off to make green and the gold is not yellow enough. That is color theory

it's basic colour theory, in art school we literally used first combo (ochre+ ultramarine) to make different shades of grey, because you can't use pure black or white to create one. if there's more ochre — grey will be more yellow-ish and the same with ultramarine. green we had as a primary colour, but we could also use ochre to make it more "grass like". still, mostly you'll need a specific shades of blue and yellow to create green
