I have no contact with ‘family’ members. I don’t consider them family. Family is not blood. Family is people that love and care for you. Family is who stands with you when others turn their back. Family doesn’t try to break you down, instead they should help you up. Your blood relatives aren’t always the people you want/need in your life.

Family : people that are there to support and call you out on the things that you’re supposed to and not supposed to do. That love you regardless. I lost my mom and dad when I was 17 and 18. I couldn’t imagine not speaking to my mom.

I went no contact with my mom 5 years ago due to irreparable emotional and mental trauma. It was not an easy decision to make & was a last resort. You absolutely helped that woman heal a big part of her heart that needed healing. ❤️
