You’re marking up incorrectly. Don’t multiply number by 30%. Focus in margin and divide 30% to get the real margin. Markup and margin are different

I feel like this depends on industry, in industries where you are getting thousands of dollars materials it only take two hours with delivery for one employee you can’t compete with competition

Companies make 200k and less . You have to compete with a lot of low balling companies. Prices and rates should be adjusted per job depending on the circumstances..

instead of adding percentage rather add labour cost and other costs to the job I don't think you should go more then 40%

Sometimes marking up that high kicks your quote out. Where I’m at if you mark up 10% that could cost you the job.
