Average age of an MLS player is 26. It’s not a “retirement” league. There are some older players who play here. But it’s a very young league. Avg age of my local team is 23.

The quality has improved a lot since the MLS started but yes it can’t even begin to compare with other leagues. LAFC is likely one of the better experiences. Yes I wish we had the chanting .

You should go to a home game in San Jose. I went w an ultra n I never sat, lost my voice singing n chanting the entire game. It was fantastic!

I remember that in the 60s I used to go and watch Tottenham Hotspurs. I can't remember exactly how much the gate was, but it was definitely under a fiver.

We have Double & Triple A Baseball parks that are almost exactly same experience you describe. The Teams are farm teams for the Major Leagues. We still go occasionally, affordable, convenient location, beautiful stadiums and usually a nice family day out.

Not as expensive as I thought you would say, but still quite a lot for a standard that, being kind, is maybe about League Two or National League level, where you would be paying about £25 and enjoying decent banter with the away fans.
