I’ve seen you pull the drain first before, I’ve always been told you never want to drain it unless you can fill it. So always pull the fill plug first, just to verify it can be removed, before pulling drain plug

1st things first just for future you always pull the fill first. that way if the fill is seized you dont have it sitting without oil.

Fill up with diesel and run it around, drain and refill, it will help clean out that old junk. With the price of oil it will save you from changing oil over and over
