They are gorgeous but they get insanely high! Expect 30-50 ft high. If you’re looking for hedges you can maintain at a certain level, go with the hopseed hedges

I planted 65 podocarpus in 4 months ago. Lots of new growth. Then only 1 month ago I planted 30 Southern wax myrtle for another area. In my head I'm thinking I'd be thrilled to have 2 years growth NOW. lol It'll happen. 😊

Beautiful hedge. Make sure you don't plant these near buildings or plumbing. The roots on these hedges are invasive and will cause problems like trees. I elected to plan green emerald arborvitae because their roots are not invasive.
