I've do something similar sometimes you make a trip put up scaffolding and maybe a week later they want to add lights but you don't want to drag out scaffolding again for a couple of lights.

I did a chandelier like that. Put a $20 crank winch in attic. Cut hole from attic and connected cable to steel box. Lowered box and then connected and assembled light. Then cranked it back up. Put a plug on the end and now we raise and lower it as needed for cleaning. It’s 20’ high.
