the school has a phone. If your kid needs to call you they can. So worrying about their kids not having their phone when they are supposed to be learning is a moot point

Parents need to put parental controls on the kids phones to only allow emergency numbers or Parents to be called in the event of an emergency this could be really bad.

I love this! More schools should follow suit. They don’t need their damn phones in class. If there’s an emergency, the school has a landline. That’s how we all survived for cell phones existed.

with all these school shootings anymore our children need to keep their cellphones where they can still use it if they need to. school used to be safe when we were kids but not anymore. I don't believe this is the best solution. sometimes a cellphone is what can protect our kids.

I like this and I should just be an emergency unlocked on it that someone can hit or they could get it unlocked if it’s an emergency like something emergency the whole school shut down for personal emergency they could go to the office and use the office phone

when my kids are old enough to have a phone and are takin them to school they will not be doing this. my kids are to keep their phones on them at all times and not locked in some stupid pouch. if there is an emergency they should be able to get ahold of me asap.

They need it on, rules should be no phones during class. What if there’s an active shooter or emergency like them getting hurt, no one around? Can’t call anyone because no phone. Though my old ass survived without it 😂

I mean, I would be worried that if my kid went to the school, thank God they don’t that if an emergency happened that the kid wouldn’t have their phone to use it and the school would lie about whatever emergency happened

Nope, I understand the issue but what if something really bad happened . The whole reason we give them the cell. I can’t tell you how many times we got a call to come to get them because of bullying by a teacher or student. They can do this to students who abuse the privilege for the day or week but I see the school abusing power to shut the kids up. Treat them the same as talking during class DO NOT TAKE THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AWAY TO EXPRESS specially IF AN EMERGENCY POPS UP. This is not money spent well in our education. Most kids don’t do this during class. Not to teachers they respect. You can put cells in away during class. This is going to far and show me someone has CONTROLLING ISSUES.
