@nomadikh: I found a gem by Hùng Cường — a Vietnamese singer active during the 60s and 70s, known for his work in the genres cải lương and Vietnamese pop, often blending traditional styles with modern arrangements. He was a major figure in South Vietnam’s music scene before 1975 and left behind a distinctive sound from that era. The groove of his music was dope so I flipped it into a hip hop beat. Some of my influences are J Dilla, MF Doom, Madlib, 9th Wonder and Knxwledge to name a few. #boombap
