It does transcend, idc what anyone says. This is the most beautiful love story and the writers were building up the idea of the transcendence in S1 with these two and with everyone else in S2. I just get the vibe the writing team loves Helly for some reason and decided to go all in on it in S2 which sucks. the love triangle has ruined the themes for me
