the look on the mechanic's face was priceless when I politely declined him installing my cabin filter because I already know how. His next question was, "are you sure it can be rather difficult." lol I love a GOOD mechanic that can recognize smart people. this is an awesome video 🥰

Took my 2010 jeep patriot to a shop to have my throttle body system replaced. Idled rough, wouldn’t hit over 20 mph, stalled when trying to accelerate after braking, the ETC light would come on anytime I hit the gas, and had error codes P2101 & P2112 on my OBD2 scanner. The shop owner looked me dead in the eyes and told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. He gave it a quick once over & tried to tell me the idling/limp mode was caused by faulty spark plugs and a bad butterfly valve. He also said I needed a brake fluid differential and new pads. I did the diff and changed the pads three days prior. Only thing he got right was the butterfly valve. He used his scanner, and guess what? Pulled the same exact codes, then he started acting cocky about “correctly” diagnosing the problem as if I was the one that was wrong 😐

I have a Kia with a "sealed" transmission and no dipstick, 100,00 miles and out of warranty. I went to a place and asked if they have the ability and tools to check my transmission fluid and possibly service it. The guy said, "Yeah. we'll check the dipstick and let you know." "Sweetie. If it had a dipstick I'd check it myself." I left.
