@branthemortgageman: ⚠️ You don’t need a new job to make more money this week! You need one form. Update your W-4, use the IRS withholding estimator, give it to HR.Next paycheck hits different! #finance #moneytips #irsreporting
I was expecting a higher refund this year due to Trump tax cuts, but no dice. I got less than last year.

Someone getting back $2000 and investing it at a 7% return would get about $140. Of which you would owe taxes on that amount too. So you’d net what? $120. If you then consider that you are not getting the whole $2,000 all at once and getting it broken up over 52 weeks you wouldn’t even get that full amount. Also most people are not going to be able to get a 7% return. Maybe a 4% return if you put it in a CD. So this whole thing of keep your money and invest it is crap. 98% of people will just spend it. To some people it’s like a savings account you can’t touch all year and letting Uncle Sam hold on to it benefits a lot of people.

Horrible idea, unless they are expecting to get rid of income tax before next year. But don’t do this cuz you will end up owing taxes next year

Won’t you end up owing money?! I don’t trust it. I’d rather get money back “interest free” then end up owing because I changed it to the wrong amount. More $$ more problems.

No sir, I will not be modifying my W-4. It is intentional. It’s how I easily pay for my daughter‘s private school and I don’t have to think about where’s the money coming from

I heard a CPA on here say that if you go tax except, they’ll charge you interests for not paying them monthly at the end when you get one huge tax bill for the year.
