I worked at a Lane Bryant and our policy was clear: Unless it was personal property (i.e someone went behind our counter and stole a purse) or someone grabbed a stroller/small child we were absolutely NOT supposed to chase them!

I work at a store and i have watched someone slip something into their pocket and i did nothing and said nothing. I’m just a cashier. They pay me to work the pos not to worry about who’s stealing. That’s what we got cameras for

disclaimer: im polish so the situation may be different, we actually can intervene if we KNOW someone stole. if u see it happening with ur own eyes u can react appropriately and u do sometimes get money for it but idk.... thats still so sketchy if someone did it in Poland,,
