@briwritespoetry_: it feels very surreal to be writing this. and if i’m honest i think i’ve been downplaying it quite a bit. keeping this new book very much a secret, until it was everything and exactly what i wanted. yet the irony being that nothing ever is. that no matter what i write, I know one day I’ll look back thinking something different. but I have learned that the art i most often admire - of others and my own - is that which is created true to moment; to emotions and stories as they unfold. today I’m a 2x published author. when I finished my first book, i knew there were words meant to be shared in the next - both the dark and hopeful journies i'd faced, and what i chose to make of each of them. what it meant to walk through those times. there is an upsetting abundance of pain in this world. by speaking to you i have deeper recognized that. but i believe it is much more layered than we think. grief, joy, hope, loneliness. how beautiful it is to meet them all. and to know, even on your darkest days, when you don't feel seen, there is light waiting. together we can find it again.
