When it was announced that The US was going to host The World Cup I was really excited, especially being from Seattle, and my home Football stadium hosting. The price killed the dream, so I'll just watch on TV and avoid going into the city to dodge the crowds

We are used to this to be honest. If tickets were cheap, everyone would buy them up quick. We have resell markets that would just mark up the ticket price. This is a super sought after event, the prices are going to be high. People will go to games no matter what.

Biggest? Not even close. The video below is of a COLLEGE game at a COLLEGE stadium in the US. You’ve probably never heard of Lincoln Nebraska and the Cornhuskers but we’ve sold out 85,000 seats every game for over 40 years. COLLEGE. I mean our high school stadiums are bigger than your professional stadiums but imagine how much bigger and better our professional games are if what you see below is better than you have anywhere in Europe! This is just one sport! We have separate stadiums for basketball baseball track and VB too! You guys need to visit America during football season. See a college game. See an NFL game. This was FIFA's chance to really show the US why FIFA and World Cup are such big deals and really introduce us to it but they Red Carded this whole affair. 1. The ticket prices. America ON PAPER is the richest country on earth™, but most of that wealth is concentrated at the very top and the ticket prices are set so high that only the small percentage at the top can afford them. On top of that they were stupid basing prices off of Super Bowl tickets. 2. On top of prices Americans in general aren't that interested in soccer to spend that kind of money, which is another reason why prices needed to be so much cheaper. Most tickets needed to be in the $50-$300 range depending on location and at that price most Americans would be willing to consider seeing what all the hubbub is about. 3. Zero advertising. Seriously I have seen nothing from FIFA to advertise or promote the World Cup here in the US. They should be doing giveaways and contests to get tickets into Americans hands.I should be seeing stuff on social media hyping this to us. If they were running a contest to get a basic trip package to go see the first US playoff game I'd enter. It's like they have no interest in trying to grow here.
