I will be honest, I get prideful on when it comes to connecting with intimacy on how men usually do. However, recently I grieved the expectations of my partner. After that, I acknowledge the mental load and the weaponizing you named. I can see how I probably done it. I’ll admit it, and sometimes I really do need reminders. However, now I’m focusing more on context clues and just trying. If I fail, at least I tried and that’s effort. If I got it, then it’s less on her. Still learning and I’m not a piece of shit. I’m a good man and continue to work on it. Learning to be a better parent. Felt weird reflecting here but if it make one person reflect or it make sense than it’s worth it! 💜
