Before God blesses your life, He may first remove four things from you. The Bible warns us about these four things again and again. And the third one is something many Christians are most unwilling to let go of. It is also one reason why so many people struggle to experience a breakthrough. First, hypocrisy. Living one way in front of people, but another way when no one is watching. Praising God loudly on Sunday, then going home and continuing to live in sin. Sharing Bible verses online, but judging others behind closed doors. What Jesus rebuked was not someone who was struggling against sin, but someone who was living in sin while pretending there was nothing wrong. God does not want your performance. He wants you to be genuine. Second, pride. “I do not need help.” “I do not need to apologise.” “I do not need anyone to correct me.” Pride does not always speak loudly, but little by little, it can push God out of our lives. James chapter four, verse six says: “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6 KJV The real danger is not the person who is struggling against sin, but the person who no longer believes they need to repent. Third, changing God’s Word into something we prefer. We may not openly reject the Bible, but we may only accept the verses that make us feel comfortable. When God says yes, we accept it. But when God says no, we begin looking for explanations. In the end, we are no longer following the God revealed in the Bible, but a god we have created in our own imagination. But Jesus said: “I never knew you.” Matthew 7:23 KJV A god who always says, “It does not matter,” is not the God revealed in the Bible. Fourth, loving money more than God. Jesus said: “Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24 KJV Money itself is not a sin. The real question is: What are you willing to give up for money? When money becomes the first standard behind your decisions, it may already have taken the place that belongs to God. So today, quietly ask yourself: Is any one of these four things controlling my life? If there is, write in the comments: “Lord, please remove it.” Do not just scroll past. If you long to know God more genuinely, learn how to break free from the bondage of sin, and allow your life to be truly changed by God’s Word, you are welcome to contact us through the WhatsApp number shown on the screen.
