I use my lap(crotch area) divide it by 2, and add two inches for the back area, it gives me the perfect fit, and I’m on the plus side

So if my hip is 38, front Crotch extension is 2 and back is 4. Do I add the 4 when I am drafting the back pattern from the front pattern and in total the Crotch extension will be 6 or should I add 2in extra to the front pattern to make it 4 for the back?

Wow I did calc for mine (44/20=2.2”)but I always use 3.5” for hip of 40 to 48 and 4” for hip 50 to 55. But I’m not judging I do what works for me 👏
