@beatkitchenschool: The word stereo confuses a lot of people without them realizing it. Let’s start with this old saying and work backwards from there. When everything is stereo, nothing is stereo. I’ll be covering this in class. You may be getting good mixing results, but if you’re missing the fundamentals, you are still relying on luck. This class is an introduction to mixing concepts. It’s a systematic survey of knobs and buttons, and the engineers toolbox for shaping sounds and crafting a mix. This one is probably the most critical class in our catalog and we don’t recommend taking something like Mixcraft without having a firm grasp of things like compression, stereo imaging, phase, masking, and basic synth architecture. If you are unsure of if this class is right for you, reach out or take the quiz on our website. But if you can’t explain things like the knee on a compressor, pre-delay, key-tracking, or mid-side, this is the class I’ll recommend.
