@beccanomics101: Financial goals that seemed impossible a few years ago are now within our reach and the “secret” is just staying consistent long enough to see the results of your tiny daily actions. Just a few years ago we had $65,000 in debt and getting ahead felt impossible, but I’m stubborn to a fault and refused to accept that life as my reality. Every day we worked to get ourselves out of debt. Years later and those decisions are paying off in a HUGE way. Now our savings are growing every single month instead of that money going to debt payments. Our rental property that we worked so hard to pay off is now generating us monthly income. Our retirement accounts are making us money while we sleep because we learned how to invest and didn’t wait til everything was perfect to start learning. Every month more and more of our mortgage payment is going to principal instead of being lost to interest. And the only crazy secret hack we did to make it happen was to be wildly consistent with boring habits for longer than most people would have.
