It's not always possible, but I've seen people get fired in a way that makes them feel almost happy about it. Knowing they be of better use elsewhere. Not every job is for anyone.

I had to let someone go 3 days before Christmas one year that was not fun at all especially when when he did nothing wrong it was all driven by the bottom line …retired now don’t miss those days at all .
