I remember watching half my generation die. I worked the bedside during the AIDS Crisis. It’s been a lifetime of grief and grieving.

@Dormilón 🌈: I remember thinking in my late 20s that it was so weird that I was losing so many friends. Me and my gay friends we weren’t supposed to lose that many people until we were old. The first time I heard someone talking about having AIDS and not being afraid of dying because there are now drugs that will help you. That made me break out in tears. I’m happy that it is a much more treatable disease now. I had a friend at the time who had a picture of him with 30 people, and everybody in the photo was dead. He said he had to make all new friends and all of his new friends died too.
