bought fresh they would be briney. but because they've been dehydrated and rehydrated with tap water you lose the sea taste. where I'm from these are prepared in vinegar, onion and ginger as a side dish for bbq meat/grilled fish or something to snack on while drinking.

In the Philippines we add pinakurat vinegar since when it’s fresh from the sea it’s already salty. Best thing to have with grilled fish or ceviche
