@thebrifernandez: Hey… I’m Bri. And this is my 1% series… where I’m changing my life one percent at a time. 🤍 For today’s 1%… let’s get healthy. Every month, I’m planning, hosting, or joining a community event where we can grow together. These are free: some online, some here in Los Angeles, California. A lot of you said your 1% is to be more active. Trust me… I’m right there with you. But I’ve realized something: it’s really hard to do it alone. That’s why community matters so much. So to kick this off, I joined Todo Wafi and Something Latina for a free community hike to Griffith Observatory. For the past month, I shared the link, and early Saturday morning… we showed up. My dad and I packed water, sandwiches, and snacks for everyone, and we got moving. I’ll be honest, I love hiking… but incline? That’s my weakness. I usually avoid it. And as we were heading up, I felt it… “I can’t breathe. This is a lot.” I wanted to stop. But here’s the thing… I wasn’t alone. There were people in front of me. People behind me. And none of us were leaving each other. If someone needed a break, we stopped. Drank water. Checked in. Then kept going. That’s what community does. Getting healthy can feel hard… but it feels a little easier when you’re not doing it by yourself. At the top, we shared sandwiches and stories and I left feeling so inspired. I met people starting businesses, spreading mental health awareness, supporting foster care… real-life heroes. Some of us didn’t know where to start, but together, we figured it out. We supported each other. And that’s why I love this. We’re planning more hikes like this with Todo Wafi and Something Latina, and we’d love to have you there. Stay tuned. 🤍 If you need extra motivation, you can follow me on Cameo, I’d love to cheer you on. Or join my Patreon (it’s free to join, and support helps fund more events like this). Finally… tell me your 1% in the comments. And if you don’t think you can do it… I’ll do it with you and show you that you can. #cameo #dharmann
