yep, on the Dwarkesh podcast Jenseng Huang made a similar point. you can make up for compute with energy/money, even if you don't have the latest chips. he calls it the AI Cake

I said this a year ago, but not as eloquently because I was lacking information. At that time $100 billion was being invested in AI every quarter. Now it’s well over 100 billion every quarter. People thought that because of so much money was being pumped into AI without little revenue that it would be a bubble that was ripe to pop. Yet here we are 2 to 3 years later. Those people are very quiet right now.

AI fatigue is also extremely high. Hoping with the coming years that ends up going away. Not great that we have access to all this knowledge but only a few care to poke at things because they aren't disgruntled about the current norm. Loved the breakdown man. Reposted right away.
