SPIRITUAL SOUNDS - Meaning in the Madd [69:02] Have you ever wondered why certain words in the Quran are stretched? It’s called a madd, and the Quran is full of them. Some sounds are stretched for four or even six counts. But why? Is there wisdom or meaning behind the way they are recited? Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is not unintentional. Nothing in the Quran is there by accident or without thought. Take these verses from Surah Al-Haqqah: الحاقة ما الحاقة وما أدراك ما الحاقة “The Inevitable Hour! What is the Inevitable Hour? And what will make you realise what the Inevitable Hour is?” Listen to the stretches in the recitation. Each time the word returns, the sound is held again. Now think about what these verses are describing: the Day of Judgment, when we will stand before Allah waiting for our account. The long sounds can make you feel the weight of that waiting. You reach the end of one stretch, and another one is ahead of you. The Quran is not only something we read. We hear its words, understand what they describe, and let the recitation bring those meanings to life. So before you scroll past this video, pause for a moment. Close your eyes and imagine standing on the Day of Judgment. الحاقة What would you wish you had put right while you still had the chance? Ask Allah for forgiveness. Return what you owe. Make the change you keep putting off. One day, you will stand there with the life you lived. Change it now, before it’s too late. #Quran #QuranRecitation #QuranReflection #IslamicReminder #Islam
