The fact my dad did this... it started when I was a kid, and I was already scared of him cuz if it wasn't on the dogs he would try and get us in trouble, just to whoop us, he had anger issues.

I always say you're not treating them to act right, you're treating them that when you get mad, they get hurt. That is what leads to bites and aggression.
