Not everyone loves living in the U.S. Many of us believe in healthcare and education for all as a basic human right and yet it’s not as big of a priority as “protecting your right to own guns” Especially coming from a Latino family and learning what the U.S. did to destabilize our homes enough that it forced our family to move for economic or safety reasons. But the truth is, the U.S. isn’t the best option anymore. And for many of us kids of immigrants, we want to return to our homelands Who else feels this way?
