girl, if you truly do have ADHD, please don't allow any stigma around medicine to prevent you from getting it. I remember crying my senior year of college when I finally got prescribed. I had been working so hard for no reason.

don’t ask for it, just explain your symptoms and how they are affecting your life. the may give you a non stimulant med to start, say ok and try it. if it doesn’t work you just tell them that and at that point they should give it to you. having a diagnosis helps too obvi.

Idk my 1st and 2nd grade teachers told my mom to get me tested bc I wouldn’t do my work/focus and I was just a bad ahh kid in general

Lowkey just finding the right psychiatrist. I got lucky that I found my match on the first try. Over the span of 6 years now, he’s ALWAYS started with the medicine that works for the most people. Then we go over the pros and cons and go from there. ❤️

For me it was second provider. And first session with him. Originally I was going to get some none stimulant. I told him about gastric bypass surgery. He asked why. I told him I have a binge eating disorder. And he changed it to vyvanse. It’s been AMAZING.
