thank you! its literally insane to me that this is the discourse of the day/week. like wtf. i always saw her eventually doing this. im anti-marriage & still got married. i watched her content as a 2 time divorcée who wished i wouldve been smarter about it, with much higher standards. i can be happy for her & still be anti-marriage & not actually care about what strangers on the internet are doing all at the same time. thats normal & healthy. nuance.

I agree with you up until the last point, unless you know MJ personally. Bc you cared enough to be bothered by the online response. And I think it’s very valid and normal to have an emotional reaction to a big social dialogue like this. She was an initiator of the dialogue that is hitting her now. A lot of folks are growing up with the internet. Something like half of all comments come from gen-z and younger. Maybe therapy is one answer, but eduction and well as just living and learning and maturity are a part of this. “The nuance is your brain” (an excellent point) is something younger generations may need help with, but it doesn’t mean they are mentally unsound.

I was MJ. I literally didn’t see the benefit of marriage and did not want to get married. Two years ago I found the love of my life and we’re getting married. 🤷🏽♀️
