I save my larger glass jars and in December I bake Christmas cookies for friends and neighbors. I fill the jars, add a vintage Christmas sticker and a ribbon and tag.

I’ve tried a mix of a neutral oil ( I used canola) and baking soda. Works surprisingly well for goop on Torani bottles.

What would you use a instant Nespresso glass jar for? They come in a regular size and a jumbo, Costco size. They are a rounded square jar and I HATE to throw them away, but am at a loss for what to use them for.

I've never heard the nail polish trick! that's so helpful, thank you! also I use tea tins like that for my hair and makeup stuff (hair ties, combs, make up brushes, etc) I use earl grey for my makeup and peppermint for my hair :)

I find, not all labels, but a lot of jar labels are easier to get off if I keep it dry and just pour very hot water inside for a few minutes. A lot of the glues will then loosen up and cam be peeled right off. no scrubbing lable bits, and less goo left behind.

To get smells out of almost everything, I use denture tablets (unscented preferably). They cost almost nothing and really help with smells. I used them specifically for reusable water bottles that are hard to clean

I use large jars to throw out old oil or discarded fluid foods, beans, soup etc. in 26 years I have not had a clogged drained once.

To get rid of smelly lids I put them in a container with hot water, little bit of soap and a splash of vanilla extract!

I would use an empty peanut butter jar as a countertop compost bin. That’s what I do with my 32 oz. Greek yogurt tubs after emptying and washing them. After I use it once, I rinse and recycle and move on to the next one, but I’m looking into making my own Greek yogurt and that will stop the cycle.

Mix equal parts olive oil and baking soda = paste…spread on the glue and let sit 10-15 minutes… scrub off… works for me every time… store unused mixture in jar for months…🇨🇦

Coconut oil and warm water might help get the rest of the residue off- just use small amounts and have dawn and vinegar ready to get excess coconut oil off. It’s the only thing that got fly trap goo off my wall/ stuff so that’s my reasoning lol 🫶🏻 best wishes!!
