Meet Marshmallow — our shy fainting goat who swears he’s invisible if he just stands still long enough. 😅 He’s the softest, sweetest little introvert on the farm — quiet, gentle, and absolutely convinced that hoof day is a full-blown kidnapping. 🐐💅 While the rest of the herd comes running for snacks and attention, Marshmallow hangs back like, “I’ll just watch from over here, thanks.” But don’t let that shy face fool you — he’s got personality for days once he warms up. He’ll sneak up for a chin scratch when no one’s watching and then pretend it never happened. Classic Marshmallow move. 😂 Today was hoof-trimming day, and you’d think we were announcing the end of the world. Drama. Pure farm drama. But we made it through, and he’s still the cutest little scaredy-goat you’ll ever meet. ❤️ Now, for a little fainting goat trivia — because they’re way cooler (and funnier) than you might think! Fainting goats, also known as Myotonic goats, have been around in the U.S. since the 1800s. The breed actually started in Tennessee when a farmer noticed his goats would stiffen and fall over when startled — not from fear, but from a quirky genetic condition called myotonia congenita. Basically, when they get surprised or excited, their muscles freeze up for a few seconds — and over they go! 😂 It doesn’t hurt them at all; in fact, they stay completely conscious and just kind of wait it out. After a few seconds, they pop right back up like nothing ever happened, probably a little embarrassed, but no worse for wear. Fainting goats were once bred intentionally because their muscle stiffness made them easier to contain — they couldn’t jump fences like other goats. Over time, people fell in love with their goofy personalities and gentle nature, and now they’re mostly kept as pets or farm mascots (like our boy Marshmallow 🩷). So now it’s your turn — caption these photos! What do you think Marshmallow’s saying before, during, or after hoof time? Drop your best one below 👇🐐 — #fypシ゚ #fypage #faintinggoats #goat #goatsoftiktok #goats #farmtok #farmlifeisthebestlife #farmfriends @The Farm Husband
