migraines are not headaches! Definitely dont feel silly for going. some people HAVE to go for relief. and its definitely good you went because those symptoms definitely could have been for something major. glad you are okay, sorry youve joined the migraine club! definitely try to follow up with a neurologist because migraine is always a chronic condition, migraine attacks (the headache part), however, are hopefully few and far between! mine are triggered by gluten (celiac) and tension headaches (along with neck injury) 🙃

As an ICU nurse who regularly deals with stroke patients… you did the right thing going! Especially since you’ve never had symptoms like that before! Wild that it took hours to get your CT results when ruling out a stroke. That should have been read instantly

I’ve never had a migraine so if this happened to me, I’d be going to the ER too. I was always told if you’re having the worst headache of your life then that calls for an ER visit.

I’ve had migraines for 26 years. At one point it was 2x week. A neurologist told me that “wasn’t frequent enough to justify a preventative treatment.” Thankfully a different doctor gave me a preventative so I only get breakthrough migraines occasionally, and they range from “meh to ‘Am I dying?’”
