Good response. Someone can say that evil is evidence against gods goodness, but how much weight does it have if they haven’t argued for a better alternative to God that can justify their naturalistic morality. A good god is a conclusion built by inference to the best explanation, and if you can justify that then you are valid to suspect that god has morally sufficient reason for suffering, and that atheist haven’t done good without god.

except the rules are different if the slave is a Hebrew or a foreigner. foreign slaves were allowed to be treated much worse, and the beating punishment was only if the slave died the same day the owner was punished, but of they died a day or two later it didn't matter. not to mention all of the child sex slaves in the bible seen as spoils of war. you and your god are both evil for thinking slavery is ok
