My 2 rottis love their crate. It’s their safe space & gives them some downtime to sleep & relax rather than being on alert 24/7.

and you upgrade the size of his pen to his growing so I dont think there is anything wrong with it just goes to show you are in control not him. ive never done it but I can see the benefits and 3 main factors you have mentioned just in this video to it making a whole lot of sense to do it

I have 3 French bulldogs all crate trained they know if they go in there is chill time I would fully recommend crate training with every breed of dog.

My Belgian Malinois is 3yrs old and still crate trained 😅 We live on acreage too & it’s his safe space. The trainer told us his particular breed needs a crate as it helps him switch off & relax. Out of the crate he acts like he’s had 3 lines of cocaine for breakfast 😂
