as someone who has been in the industry for 8 years. she ordered this perfectly. she was polite and thanked her server at the end. you don’t need to say please when you’re asked for your order as long as you’re not rude.

So there are a lot of sushi places that do not allow for any modifications. You order from the menu and that is it. Congrats on finding a place that does allow it.
