I have a sulfa allergy. Last time I went to the ER they asked if I was still allergic and I said yes and they asked if I was sure, I said "Wanna find out" GUESS WHOS STILL ALLERGIC TO SULFA?

Dentist here. Almost half the patients I see claim they are allergic to penicillin. I know for a fact very few of them actually are allergic but I can’t prescribe amoxicillin which is the best antibiotic

Sometimes with penicillin, the rash shows at 5 to 6 days later, so keep an eye out for that! Hoping it doesn’t!

I had my first reaction to penicillin when I was an adult. When I did allergy testing, my allergy doctor was like, do you know you’re wildly allergic to penicillin? Yes. 🤣

Most ppl who were allergic to penicillin as a kid, typically grow out of it. Now I’m allergic and when I was a kid my throat closed. So idk if I’d test my luck ever 🤣
