I had to set rules for naming people in my book because of the world lore, so different provinces have different naming methods and whenever I create a name it has to be based off of the rules of that province. It's chaotic. 😂

I put a bunch of letters in a hat and pull them out one at a time until I have a name. Sometimes it works, other times I get names like Poish or Goyit.

Your process is so different from mine!! It sounds super cool 😊 For me, I like looking up names with specific meanings and go from there. It can be from folklore or mythology, scientific names of elements & species, or it could be inspired by a combination of other character names spliced together to sound cool 😎😎
