@cryptonews: The New York Fed has scheduled a routine $7.587 billion Treasury bill purchase for Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET. This is one of several standard reserve management operations planned for the month. It forms part of the Fed’s ongoing program to maintain bank reserves, currently running at about $25 billion per month in T-bill purchases (plus separate reinvestments). These buys are pre-announced and technical in nature. Social media claims calling this an “emergency QE” injection linked to the US-Iran Strait of Hormuz tensions are inaccurate. The operation was scheduled well in advance and is not a policy response to geopolitical events.
