@firstheroproject: Most girl dads think vulnerability is one thing.. It’s not There are three moments that matter most, and if you miss them, you have the chance to miss out on building a connection with your daughter. The first is after a mistake. This is where repair happens. This is where you say: “I didn’t handle that well, I was wrong, I’m sorry” Trust me, this can feel SO HARD… But, that moment alone builds more trust than being perfect EVER will. The second is naming your emotions. “I’m frustrated right now, I need a second” When you say it, you teach her how to understand her own emotions. You build emotional awareness You build emotional control If you can name it, you can tame it The third is sharing your growth This is the one most girl dads NEVER do.. Letting her see: “I’m still learning, I didn’t always know this, I’m figuring this out too” That changes everything because now she sees Adults grow Adults evolve Adults don’t have to be perfect And that gives her permission to do the same That’s how you build connection That’s how you build trust That’s how you raise a daughter who is aware confident and secure So ask yourself Are you showing up in these moments? Or avoiding them? 👇 If this hit you: Take the Girl Dad Quiz and find out what kind of father you actually are It takes less than 5 minutes and will show you your strengths, blind spots, and where you need to level up (Link in comments, bio, or somewhere around this post!)
