very cool! even if you couldn't walk across it ever, wading and pulling a canoe (or whatever equivalent they use in that area; not my specialty) over shallow water is way easier than carrying stuff

there are written records in sri lanka about the land bridge being a thing. the whole ram setu thing isn't true though.

in temples and communities around the bridge it is well documented that it was traversable by foot until a cyclone hit in 1480 but the west discredited them as the same sources would also talk about the religious significance
