Nicole meant to be only better than Bennett for sustain DPS, so Bennett take nuke melt or pludge team, because Nicole (specifically combo with Durin) can carry most ATK scale DPS out there in genshin. very universally spp which too broken to give her too much of big kit, *BUT Hoyo have done this overwhelm character, marketing before I don't see problem with making Nicole like them, so it's just Hoyo market strategy to forced players to pay more, even tho they already bond her potential with a specific character "Durin" already they still want players to pay more than that, because this duo work too universal. imagine pulling only for 2 characters and u get semi premium for more half of the DPS in genshin? unless Nicole was being hated like some Lolibait character, to increase the sale they instead increase their usefulness and their meta contribution like the point above I said "BUT" so that's why I said I see no problem with making Nicole better than she is now, Hoyo just have no reason to make her too strong which result an even stronger tension for incoming character since Hoyo market strategy always been power creeping character, so it was to avoid getting TOO MUCH worse gap between old and new character like imagine if Nicole was overwhelming, imagine the upcoming character how much overwhelming they could be to able to inspired player to pull Hoyo have lost they creativity, more like, they never been creative enough since the beginning and it getting even worse lately, so they completely rely on toxic marketing strategy to earn money. remember: the more hate a character get the more strong they can be, despite have atleast a small amount of their defender like Mavuika, Citlali, Ineffa, Columbina... the more love a character get the weaker they can be like Wanderer, Varka (underwhelming for fresh released character, Venti is not a good spp for him at all), Flins (they intentionally make his spp barely even buff him, has no complete premium team, *Columbina buff Luna Charge the weakest compare to other reaction btw), unless the character was originally weak like Lohen as example, they can slightly increase their power when the character is loved by fandom
